When it comes to stroke, every second counts! Nearly 2 million brain cells die each minute a stroke remains untreated. Rapid access to medical treatment oftentimes makes the difference between full recovery and disability. The phrase “Time is Brain” emphasizes the risk of brain tissue loss as stroke progresses without urgent intervention. Watch the video below for a closer look into the data-driven work done by the Florida Stroke Registry in training hospitals and health professionals on how to shorten time to treatment, aiming to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
